A classic weed of Europe, now naturalized to the New World where Native Americans called it “white man’s foot”, as it appeared wherever Europeans walked. Plantago comes from the Latin word for foot, and the leaves were long used as a poultice for sore feet, as well as injuries anywhere on the body.
As an Essence, it has excellent anti-infective and painkilling properties, and the Spagyric process extracts the calcium that is abundant in the leaves. It is also a good Spagyric for allergies and general immune imbalance, whether in the respiratory, digestive, or urinary systems.
