Chinese Red Sage Root

This root of a beautiful member of the very healing sage family creates a bright red tincture, a signature of its Mars energy and immune-boosting properties. Red Sage is also used in TCM for cardiovascular health, as an anti-inflammatory, and as a tonic to the liver, kidneys, and nervous system.

We first became aware of this herb as part of an herbal protocol for treating the novel Coronavirus, and it can play a very important role in that fight.

According to research cited in that protocol, Red Sage Root acts to protect the lungs from injury by the virus, balances cytokine function so that damaging immune over-reactions do not occur and protects the lymph system and spleen in their detoxifying functions.
