Schizandra

Used for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine, Schizandra is valued as a tonic, adaptogen, immune-booster, and to increase vitality and stamina. In one study, racehorses given Schizandra extract reduced their 800-meter time by a competitive advantage of six lengths, and also recovered much more quickly after exertion.

In China, Schizandra is valued by women as a restorative to youth, sexual vitality, and energy, and by both sexes as a protective against all types of stress and fatigue.
